I wish I could say we carefully executed this stalk, but the truth is we rather blundered into this group, thinking that they were bedded one draw over. We glassed a much larger group from below, but they had already left the scene. We never got closer than 50 yards, and not soon after this image was taken, all four deer jumped the fence and took off for healthier surroundings.
